The Kasians express their feelings with \u201cmantinades\u201d and communicate with each other even today in America. This is what Nick Papageorge tries and achieves with the second volume of his book&nbsp;<strong>\u201cMy Mantinades\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the context of the celebration of the 200<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;anniversary of the Holocaust of Kasos, the Kasian Brotherhood of America presented this remarkable work by Nick Papageorge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book presentation, along with the cutting of the Vasilopita, took place on Sunday, January 12, at the \u201cKasian House\u201d in the Bronx, New York, in the neighborhood where the Kasian heart beats and where most Kasians in America reside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation of the book and the coordination of the event were carried out by journalist and sociologist Dr. Despina Afentouli with the participation of Doctor John Arapis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire Kasian community and several friends of the Association attended the event. Several books were made available, part of the proceeds is donated to the Greek Afternoon School of the Greek Orthodox Community of St. Peter in the Bronx, New York.
