He remembers when he went to elementary school and later to high school. When he first dressed as a sea- scout and participated in the National parades of March 25 and October 28, and in the religious rituals of Epiphany and Good Friday. However, in recent decades, with the improvement of transportation, things have changed, and within hours they cross the Atlantic. One day you leave America and the next you are in Karpathos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But these trips take place in the summer, when schools are closed and the holidays of Vangelistra and Easter and the National holidays have passed or come later. I remember that half a century passed until I found myself in Karpathos again on the day of Vangelistra and tasted the \u201cmenoula\u201d again, and on Easter Tuesday I found myself in Olympus, the day when the villagers took the message of the Resurrection of the Lord to the dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, I felt special joy when I learned that my dear friend and fellow villager Frixos Vozos, after 65 years, will be in Karpathos to celebrate the day of Vangelistra and Easter. Sixty-five years ago, he left and went to Rhodesia and from there to America. Since then, he has visited Karpathos several times, but this year the Grace of Vangelistra will bring him to her celebration and Easter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, the Othitian association \u201cWork and Joy\u201d is preparing to present the book by Frixos Vozos \u201cMy Mantinades\u201d. The book presentation is scheduled to take place at Othos\u2019 community hall on April 23.
